Marks of my grandfather's life can still be seen around Godmanchester. A plaque lies in the ground near the
weir commemorating his time as mayor, close to his home on 'The Island' where he died.

The freemen of the borough are still in existence, although their number is dwindling as the population of
Godmanchester changes.

In 2009, 'the book' was donated to the Godmanchester Museum by my mother, Ann, so that the whole of the
town could know my grandfather's story. You can see all the information here, as well as lots more that I
didn't have the space to include, in the museum which is open at weekends during the summer months.
