Richard graduated from the prestigious Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in 1992. Whilst there, he was awarded the Newton
Blick Award for achievement. In the years since as an actor, he has gained experience in all media, particularly film and
television.
Richard's film credits include a live action feature version of Wind in the Willows, The Wolf Man with Benicio Del Toro,
Stormbreaker and A Bunch of Amateurs with Hollywood legend Burt Reynolds.
He has played regular and recurring roles in several British tv shows, including sci-fi series Space Precinct, Living It, The
Mysti Show and the BAFTA nominated Sir Gadabout; The Worse Knight in the Land. He has also played many guest roles
in such dramas as The Jury, Murder City, Eastenders and Doctors.
On stage, Richard has toured the UK in a theatre production of the cult tv show Thunderbirds, as well as playing parts at
the Derby Playhouse and Stoke's New Vic Theatre. He also played the title role in his own play The Mystery of Sherlock
Holmes at the Swan Theatre, Wycombe.
Writing in genres including plays for performance by schools and youth groups, full length comedies and award-winning
one act plays, Richard's plays have received hundreds of productions around the world, frequently winning awards for
performances in festivals.
He has recently completed filming in Mike Newell's forthcoming Great Expectations opposite Helena Bonham Carter.
